My friends and I will always search

the way to ease our load.

For load it is, though light for some

and some a rocky road.

We meet together now and then,

to chat and learn to live.

To make each other’s pathway

better, we’re not afraid to give

advice to those who need our help,

and take from stronger friends.

For this is how we help ourselves

and tighten up loose ends.

The world of science has done its

best, to give us all a start.

It’s up to us to add the zest,

to play a positive part.

For everyone who needs our help,

there’s one who’s walked that way.

We look for partners every time.

We often hear them say

that ‘so and so’ gave sound

advice, and ‘so and so’ did know.

And my new friend is better now,

with thanks to ‘so and so’.
